How Elon Musk’s Twitter Buy Fueled Trump’s Victory

In 2021 after the capital riots, Trump’s Twitter was permanently suspended, twitter cited the concerns about potential for further incitement of violence as the major reason.

Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter (renamed X) in 2022 was a game-changer, as Musk restored Trump’s account.

His emphasis for free speech laid solid foundations for the Donald Trump’s narrative. This action allowed Trump to reconnect with his large digital audience and control his narrative outside traditional media channels.

Musk’s involvement went deeper than just reinstating Trump’s social media presence.

As Trump’s campaign advanced, Musk invested millions into a Super PAC to fund and support pro-Trump content on X, creating a powerful echo chamber.

Musk leveraged X to amplify Trump’s campaign messages to his followers, often promoting election-denial content in a way that encouraged his platform’s users to align with Trump’s cause.

According to reports, twitter has over 429 million global users and over 95.4 million users in USA. Elon tweets and quotes on one of the largest social media platforms on earth contributed largely to Trump winning the election.
