Niger’s government has launched the construction of 1,000 affordable social housing units in Sorey, near Niamey, under the “City of Refoundation” initiative.
The project aims to initially build 200 units within 12 months, a collaboration between SONUCI and BANGA IMMOBILIER Group.
The initiative is part of Niger’s broader Modern City Construction Program to address housing shortages, an effort commendable even in the face of wealthier African nations struggling to provide such solutions for their citizens.
