In a recent unfortunate incident, passengers and motorists traveling through Ewu Junction in Auchi, Edo state have found themselves trapped due to a multiple vehicle accident. The accident, involving five trucks and one hummer bus, occurred around 11pm yesterday, resulting in severe injuries to both drivers and passengers. Thankfully, no fatalities have been reported.

The aftermath of the accident has caused significant disruption to transportation, with travelers from Abuja, Edo, Delta, and the eastern part of the country unable to proceed on their journeys. As of this morning, passengers and motorists in the area remain stranded, as there appears to be a lack of towing vehicles available.

Witnesses have reported that four officers from the Nigeria Police were dispatched to the scene by an undisclosed division. However, these officers only took pictures of the accident site before leaving. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, stranded motorists and passengers have taken matters into their own hands, enlisting the help of locals and engaging in self-help efforts to find alternative ways to address the issue of towing the heavy trucks involved.

“If you, or anyone you know, is aware of any towing van services operating within the Ewu axis, kindly provide the contact information. This will greatly assist those affected in finding a suitable solution to the current predicament,” one of the eyewitnesses urged.
