A Bombardier Challenger 601-3R (Reg. N580KR – A776D9) was in Niamey, Niger this morning and is currently flying to Abuja, Nigeria.
The flight to Niamey was untracked, but it is likely that it also came from Abuja. We can not confirm the owner’s identity.
Russian deputy defense minister arrives Bangui
The Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, is currently touring Africa. Today September 1, he arrived in Bangui, Central African Republic. He traveled to Bangui on the Il-62M aircraft with the registration number RA-86572. This visit follows his earlier trips to Bamako on August 30 and Ouagadougou on September 1.
CIA-linked “Academy Resources” lands in Burkina Faso
Meanwhile, we earlier reported that a day after Russian Deputy Defense Minister’s visit Burkina Faso, an “Academy Resources” Beech 300C King Air aircraft (registration N549AR) departed from the US Air Base in Agadez and arrived at Ouagadougou airport.

On the 30th of August, a Russian Air Force (223rd Flight Unit State Airline) Il-62M aircraft (registration RA-86572) visited Bamako, Mali. Two days later, the same aircraft landed at Ouagadougou airport in Burkina Faso.
The Russian aircraft transported Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yekurov, who met with transitional President Ibrahim Traore. During the meeting, the Russian delegation presented the progress made in military cooperation and discussed the future prospects for Burkina Faso.
It is after that visit that the “Academy Resources” Beech 300C King Air aircraft has now arrived the capital of Burkina Faso.
It is important to note that the company, Academic Resources has been associated with CIA operations in the past. The aircraft with the registration number N549AR frequently operates within this region.
While the purpose of the Academy Resources mission in Ouagadougou is still unclear, its arrival one day after the Russian Deputy Defense Minister’s meeting with Traore is causing significant concern among the public.
