Speculation has arisen regarding the potential involvement of the United States in the ongoing coup d’état in Niger, given their presence and training activities in the country. However, there are those who dismiss these speculations, maintaining that the turmoil in Niger is primarily an internal matter.

The natural resources of Niger include uranium, coal, gold, iron ore, tin, phosphates, petroleum, molybdenum, salt, and gypsum. Niger has some of the largest uranium reserves in the world.
